Fits pipework for soil, water, heating and other services into and out of commercial and residential structures. Also responsible for the fitting of '2nd fix' work or the ‘furniture’ of the structure. i.e. sinks, toilets, showers etc. Pipework is generally small / medium bore copper or plastic but plumbers will often also install cast iron drainage and HDPE (plastic) pipe.
